Apptoo AB, headquartered in Umeå, Sweden has been selected as specialist software supplier to the Irish company GPS-Buddy
Apptoo AB is pleased to announce a partnership with GPS-Buddy, a technology company that provides logistical tracking and management solutions for businesses with fleet vehicles.
This relationship lets Apptoo develop special software for GPS handsets in combination with GPS-Buddy’s proven fleet management and tracking technology for handsets. The contract is yet another proof that the state-of-art software competence of the Umeå, Sweden based company Apptoo AB is internationally competitive.
Paired with Garmin Mobile XT, GPS-Buddy’s software gives companies the capability to monitor its workforce in real time and communicate with mobile workers via any applicable smartphone – directly over the handset’s wireless provider. If the office needs to direct an employee to a new location, they can receive turn-by-turn, voice-prompted directions to the new destination on their GPS handsets. Initially, this solution will be available on GPS handsets operating with Microsoft Windows Mobile platforms but will be available on select Symbian and OS handsets later in the year.
