GPS-Buddy offers a hard-wired installation option allowing you to install the GPS-Buddy CONNECT permanently behind the dashboard or in another stealth location.
The unique Battery Discharge Protection prevents the GPS-Buddy CONNECT draining the vehicle's battery unnecessarily. Thanks to the GPS-Buddy CONNECT electronic protection, it is not necessary to install a fuse on your vehicle's electric circuit.
The InstallCard
With the InstallCard, a professional installer will permanently install your GPS-Buddy E-Z Install Kit (together with the GPS-Buddy CONNECT) into your vehicle.
This InstallCard will cover the labor to mount the holster behind the dashboard (or another stealthy location), connect it to vehicle power, route the antenna cable and mount the antenna. Standard installation includes routing the Garmin connector cable to the center of the dash (connect to a Garmin GPS, if available). The installation-engineer will also test your CONNECT product to validate its operation in the chosen location of your vehicle.
