Planning trips and stops
Trips are created and stops are added in Flowter's transport module, in the order the day is planned. Each stop shows the delivery location and time window, along with the expected arrival time and stop duration. Individual orders can easily be added to an existing or new trip. This keeps the entire day planned per vehicle, in one overview.
Orders from an existing TMS
Trips and stops are created in Flowter itself, but anyone already working with a TMS or other planning system doesn't need to re-enter data: transport orders can be imported. Individual orders can then be added to an existing or new trip. This means transport planning fits with an existing way of working.

Planned and driven trips side by side
Every trip has two versions: the trip as planned, and the trip as it was actually driven. Flowter shows both. For each stop, the expected and actual arrival times are shown side by side, for each trip the planned and driven kilometers, and on the map the planned route next to the actually driven route. Time windows that are structurally too tight, or trips that run late, are visible per stop this way, and the planning can be adjusted accordingly. The same applies to kilometers: the difference between planned and driven shows where routes can be optimized.
Flagging deviations
Flowter flags per stop what deviates: an arrival too early or too late relative to the time window, a stop that wasn't reached, or an address missing from the plan. For transport where temperature matters, such as refrigerated or fresh cargo, the same applies: if the temperature of a shipment goes above or below the set limit, a flag appears on the trip. Temperature monitoring is available in combination with GPS-Buddy's cold chain solution. This makes it directly visible per trip what needs attention.
Customers track their own delivery
With Track & Trace in Flowter, the customer of a delivery can follow the status themselves, in real time, via a dedicated page: from loaded to delivered, with expected arrival time and route. For temperature-sensitive shipments, the temperature curve can also be shown.

What is transport planning software?

Can an existing plan from another system be imported?
Yes. Transport orders from an external planning system can be imported into Flowter. The possibilities depend on the system used.
Can trip data be exported or shared with customers?
Yes. Trip data can be exported for internal reporting or shared with customers.
How is a delivery proven?
A delivery can be recorded per stop with a photo and a signature. The proof is stored with the relevant stop and can be found immediately if a customer has a question
Is a late delivery flagged?
Yes. For each stop, it's recorded whether the delivery fell within the planned time window, was early, or was late. A deviation is shown as a flag on the trip.
Can GPS-Buddy keep customers automatically informed about a delivery?
Yes, through Track & Trace. Customers follow their delivery themselves via a dedicated page, with status, expected arrival time, and, if applicable, temperature curve.
