What is Connected Transport?
Connected Transport links vehicles to their environment. Drivers receive real-time updates in their truck about roadworks, speed advice, and tire pressure. Route planning automatically takes into account delivery windows, environmental zones, and traffic congestion. Even traffic lights are becoming smarter—drivers get a green wave when conditions allow.
It's all about insight and automation, so drivers can focus on the road while the system handles the rest.
Putting it to the test with Beekmans Transport
Smart tech only proves itself in the real world. That’s why we joined a test day on June 5 with one of our customers: Beekmans Transport from Erp. Together, we tested sensors embedded in the road surface that measure tire pressure of passing trucks.
Here’s what’s unique: the data is shown in real-time in the GPS-Buddy app. If tire pressure is too low, the driver gets an immediate alert—boosting safety, reducing wear, and saving fuel.
This technology will soon be fully integrated into our platform. So other transport companies can benefit too. Safely, efficiently, and intelligently.

These applications are of added value for our customers to get an even better grip on their moving assets. Monday, June 5, we therefore participated in the test day in cooperation with one of our customers, Beekmans Transport from Erp. We conducted tests with sensors in the asphalt that measure tire pressure. The data obtained are displayed in the GPS-Buddy app. If the pressure is too low, the driver receives a signal and can take action. This increases safety and saves on fuel costs. We are further developing the results of the tests to further integrate them into our software in the coming period.
When the time comes, we will post about it. This allows you as a transporter to hitch a ride on smart mobility developments. You save time, fuel, and stress and you keep the pace going.
